Business Director / VP - Oil & Gas, USA and Colombia
Summary/ Basic The Business Director/VP will aggressively execute a sales strategy with the fundamental objective to grow volume. Longer term, he/she will be called upon to expand the sales force, and broaden and further penetrate domestic and global markets. He/she will provide functional leadership in the development of the Company’s Oil & Gas near term and longer-term sales plan, forecast and budgets. LOCATION: Houston, TX Reporting Relationship The Business Director/VP will report to the Sr. Vice President, Oil & Gas, and will direct the product commercialization and account management activities for EOR with major domestic and global corporate accounts. Specific Duties • Managing and directing the activities of Oil & Gas teams including Sales, Key Account Management, Marketing, and Field Operations / Support. • Developing and maintaining supportive, collegial relationships with existing staff members. • Meeting or exceeding sales and profitability target levels growing volume, and increasing market share. • Managing presentations to Customers, internal and external, for the Oil & Gas business. • Help define the key product and technology requirements with R&D. • Negotiate field equipment and technology requirements including installation and ongoing maintenance. • Directing commercialization activities to include an analysis of competitive products, market research, and understanding government legislation and regulations. • Developing and maintaining favorable relationships with key Oil & Gas customers and ensuring that satisfactory customer service is provided at all times. Job Requirements • A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent is required. An advanced degree is highly desirable. • A minimum of 10 to 15 years combined, successful and progressive industry leadership experience in sales. • Ability to develop, further grow sales, and enhance the efforts of the sales force in achieving the Company objectives. • Strong orientation to team leadership style of management and the ability to support subordinates and gain their cooperation and respect. • Knowledge and ability to create sales quotations for chemical packages and understanding of manufacturing and cost processes. • Ability to proactively develop new customers. • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. • Experience in dealing with senior level management of both foreign and domestic companies. • The ability to participate effectively in sales and business planning and to arrive at sound decisions designed to produce effective results. • Confident, bright, articulate, innovative, highly motivated and self-starting with a high energy level and spirit of team effort and cooperation, and of the highest integrity.
